Finally I found a solution to avoid the Apple-Developer-Cert for testing iOS applications on my iPhone
All you need to do is listed below.
PreparationYou’ll need …
- Apple iPhone/iPad jailbroken w/ AppSync installed)
- Xcode 4.2.1 (Mac App Store – Click Here)
- 5 minutes of time
Create your certFirst we will create a cert in our keychain.
Step 1You can find it via spotlight “keychain” or on this path:
“Applications” > “System Utilities” > “Keychain“
Step 2“Keychain” next to the menu bar > “Certificate Assistant” > “Add Certificate“
Step 3Type in your cert name (you choose, but remember the name!), set Identity to “Root – self” and select “Code-Sign“. Remember to click the Checkbox below.
We accept both dialogs and click “Continue“.
In the following form we type in random values.
Overall we click “Continue” (8 times) which shows us the following window.
The hardest part is done! You can close your keychain now.
Open XCode!Create a new project and select any type – in my case Tabbed Application.
Type in your text.
If you can’t see this form: Select “Editor” from menu bar. In some cases you have to type in your certificate manually. Beware: Case-sensitive!
You can test your own applications without spending 90$ a year!
On my iPhone 4S 5.0.1 it worked flawlessly.
